[It seems strange that being turned into a unicorn seems more plausible to Gansey than actually going to college and having a career. The things that Adam's been working toward for years for seem almost impossible to Gansey.]

( He's surprised for a moment, but then he remembers that this is Gansey. These things hadn't been possible before. Now they were. He wonders what he'd have been like, thrown into a new life when he'd been so certain his own was short. )

i think you can be whatever you want to be. if archeology or teaching is where you want to go, then you'd be great.

hell, you could be a tightrope walker if you wanted. except please don't do that because my nerves wouldn't take it.

I'm not sure what I'll decide. The restlessness isn't as strong now, but I think I want to travel eventually.

( Adam needs college. He needs to prove himself. Maybe not as much as he used to, but he wants to. He just finally feels like there's room to breathe around it. )

[Gansey can wait if he knows Adam will be with him. It's something that Adam deserves and Gansey will need by the end of that time, his gift demanding that he find the objects cast about the ley lines.
